KARACHI:
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) removed the national U16 coaches after the team’s unsatisfactory performance in the Asian Football Confederation U16 Championship qualifiers that concluded on Sunday.
Pakistan competed with Iran, the UAE and Sri Lanka in Group E, where they only managed to draw their last match against Sri Lanka. The team also failed to score any goal in its three matches.
The PFF media statement revealed that both Sajjad Mehmood and Hassan Baloch will continue to serve in the Coaches Education Programme. “This decision has been taken to strictly enforce the performance-based criteria,” said the statement.
