‘Such models can solve industrial problems‘

Engineering students at Preston University Faisalabad displayed their final year projects at an in-house technology model exhibition on Monday.
Models included briquettes (block of flammable matter used as fuel) made from agricultural waste, mechanical stoves for villages, a steam boiler, a water purification plant, an economical and affordable air conditioner, truss bridges, a drip irrigation system, and a portable kitchen. The students were divided into two groups- mechanical and civil engineering. Muhammad Akhtar Haneef, the university director, and Sajid Hussain Shah, head of Electrical Department at Government College of Technology Samanabad were the chief guests. The guests lauded the students for their work and said that such projects had the potential to solve some of the problems faced by the industry.
