Wooing supporters: PPP coaxes ministers to join cabinet

MUZAFFARABAD: Two main supporters of former prime minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry have been inducted into the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Cabinet. Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim and Muhammad Hussain Sargala, two close aides of Chaudhry, have been inducted, thanks to the intervention of the Pakistan Peoples Party leadership in the centre. The newly- inducted ministers are among MLAs and ministers who had openly supported the no-confidence motion on July 22 against Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majid. The total number of ministers in Azad Kashmir now stands at 26.
