Relieved from duty: Owais Muzaffar loses health ministry
KARACHI:
Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has taken back the portfolio of the health department from Owais Muzaffar, The Express Tribune learnt on Thursday. The latter will continue working as minister for four other departments - local government, housing, rural development and public health engineering. According to the notification, the charge of health department will now remain with the chief minister who already has 15 ministries under his domain. Currently, the Sindh government has 18 ministers and one adviser. The government wants to merge various departments in order to comply with the constitutional bars. In this connection, a summary has been finalised and will likely be passed by chief minister soon.
