Safe and sound: Police rescue kidnapped doctor

The police managed to arrest seven people who had allegedly abducted the doctor.

MATIARI: The Matiari police have rescued a doctor, Shamshad Kamboh, and his driver following an encounter with the alleged kidnappers in Tando Allahyar district. The police managed to arrest seven people who had allegedly abducted the doctor. Matiari SP Amjad Sheikh, speaking at a press conference, said that a contingent of police had raided a site in Kaman Jamali village from where they rescued Dr Kamboh and his driver, Akram Rajput. The victims had gone missing about two months ago when they were going to Nawabshah from Tando Adam. Sheikh said that dacoit Abdul Hakim Rind Buledi and six of his accomplices were also arrested during the raid. The suspects were being interrogated, he added. Meanwhile, Dr Kamboh said that he had not paid any ransom to the kidnappers.
