Nasir books last-four clash with Zaman

Atlas brothers to face off in other semi of CAS squash championship.

KARACHI: Top seeds sailed into the semi-finals of the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) International Squash Championship being held at Hashim Khan Squash Complex in Peshawar.

Nasir Iqbal will be up against Farhan Zaman while the Atlas brothers – Aamir and Danish – will lock horns in the other last-four clash.

Nasir was involved in a tough five-setter against Sheikh Saqib which he eventually won with scores of 12-14, 11-4, 11-7, 9-11 and 11-8.

Meanwhile, Zaman won 2-0 as his opponent Farhan Mehboob retired hurt when the game was 11-6 and 12-10.

Danish survived a scare against Mansoor Zaman as he was 2-1 down with the latter cruising to an improbable victory. But the third seed pulled back the match in his favour by thrashing Mansoor in the fourth and fifth games with a scoreline of 13-11, 8-11, 7-11, 11-1 and 12-10 while  Aamir defeated Nosherwan Khan 3-1.
