The girl's body was transferred to Jinnah hospital. Evidence shows that she was suffocated to death.
The medico-legal officer said that the victim was raped and then murdered, adding that they are not sure if more than one person had raped her. The officer also stated that there were bruises all over the girl's body.
She was kidnapped on September 24 from Azizabad, Karachi and her body was dumped on the beach. Her parents reported her kidnapping to the police the same day and an FIR was registered.
Her parents had also received threats on the phone from the murderers.
She has been identified as N, the only daughter of her parents. She was a student of grade four and was wearing her school uniform when her body was found.
Based on initial investigation, a woman wearing a niqab kidnapped the girl from outside her school after claiming that she was one of the girl's neighbours.
Her class teacher, relatives and the school’s principal are being questioned and the gatekeeper of the school was taken into custody.
The victim’s aunt said that the school administration was not involved, adding that the kidnapper must be someone they know, otherwise the girl would not have gone with her.
IG Sindh has taken notice of the murder. DSP Saleem Akhtar has claimed that they will apprehend the murderers in a time frame of three days.
Funeral prayers for the girl were held in the evening.

I think first of all, stop blaming the rape on the parents (??), Indians (??) and instead look at the problem for what it is: a community problem that effects us all - maybe not today but we all have women in our homes. I have myself escaped this fate 3 times when in Pakistan. Corruption and lack of legal persecution and severe punishment are main reasons. And of course the view on women and girls contribute to the victimization of our women and girls. She was 13 years old. I almost choked on my tears while reading these news. Indians are not to blame. Her parents weren't to blame. What if this was a family member abusing his niece or daughter - who would we blame then? These are predators and the only reason I escaped a similar fate was Allah. I have no other explanation. I no longer travel to Pakistan for a variety of reasons and safety is one of them. Law offers no help. Thats why I support vigilante action. Watch "I spit on your Grave" and you will know what I mean. This will make the culprits think twice. My deepest sympathies to the family and to surviving rape victims and their families around the globe. May Allah keep all safe from harm. Pakistan wake up. Wake up..
@abou jawaad: Every type of governmental system has problems, but In general secular law treats females with more respect than most. For example, it would appear obvious to anyone that DNA testing, and general medical examination for factors such as bruising should be the main proof of rape. Also, from what I read in newspapers the Pakistan police appear to have a casual, almost medieval attitude towards male sexual deviations, and attempt to sweep them under the carpet.
@Dr. Saleem Siddiqi: Parents should be more vigilant about their wards while they are in Schools or playing on the streets.....I would blame parents for such mishap.
I am just curious what kind of doctor are you? Do you expect parents to attend schools with kids?
I am trying to figure out if these crimes always existed but never reported or there is a new wave of sex crimes against youngsters in Pakistan?
May God give strength and courage to the victim's family. All involved in the heinous crime should be punished in public.
@Dr. Saleem Siddiqi: If children are not safe at school where are they safe? I just do not get your point. Perhaps you could explain in detail why you consider the parents are at fault in this particularly tragic event..
Lol what why was a 13 year old studying in grade 4? Condolences to the family though.
It feels so painful to read about such details. The worse thing is that there are many more which are not even repored on the media or to the police! May Allah help the parents of this poor girl and gives the most painful punishment to the culprit(s)
If we belong to a superior faith then why is it that we are committing such acts of savagery at a greater rate than those who belong to an inferior faith?
Now thanks to the all-knowing mullahs of CII, evil monsters such as these will get away. Unless of course there were four "good muslim males" witnessing. Sorry ladies, four of you as witnesses just wont cut it and DNA of course doesn't prove anything.
@satan: "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt".
Who kidnapped the little girl?
This is what the ET news says: "Based on initial investigation, a woman wearing a niqab kidnapped the girl from outside her school after claiming that she was one of the girl’s neighbours."
Reach your own conclusions.
@Imran: Has Pakistan imported a large batch of Indians, why the sudden increase in rape cases?
we Indians have the audacity to address our problems publicly,,,,,not like in ur country !!!!,,on seeing the Indian and world media coverage on Delhi gangrape,,,,,i think some media in ur country also started addressing it,,which is a very good move,,,,i appreciate u ET,,u are doing a good job!!!!!,,i think u got ur answer ,,so called MR..imran!!!!!,,,so be cool
and they were commenting on rapes in India. At least they are caught and brought to justice!
@Adeel: These rapists should be castrated and then killed !!!!!!!!!!! plz,,dont suggest that,,then Aakar patel will misunderstand u as emotional and unthinking Indian!!!!
@Raj – USA: Way to go breaking the troll-o-meter. Well done.
@satan: what a senseless comment
school admin shouldnt hv let girl gone with unidentified lady..it must be parents only
People who did it are worst than animals and they should be punished like animals, but they never will be because our rulers do not have time they are busy serving Americans their masters.
One more angel soul destroyed! is there anyone who cares?
question for all who endorse current form of Sharia. Had this girl managed to stay alive, would she still have to find four witnesses to support her stance?
@Dr. Saleem Siddiqi: Try saying that to your colleagues in Johannesburg. You'll be stripped off your license.
@Dr. Saleem Siddiqi: God forbid this happen to even my enemy's children but should it ever happens to your daughter, I know who to blame.
@Imran: @Zakintosh: "The rapists have mothers, sisters, possibly even young girls as daughters. They should be the ones who should understand the pain they cause."
Now, think about the hindu girls and their families. All the characters you mention in your comments as above were present in the muslim families where these hindu girls were taken to after being abducted even from their homes. Has even one muslim been punished so far even when they did the same to thousands of 12-15 year old hindu girls?
If you count these rapes, the rapes in Pakistan will be 100 times more than that in India.
Has Pakistan imported a large batch of Indians, why the sudden increase in rape cases?
FIR was registered on 24 sept and body found on 26th sept...what the police did during this time..did police investigate ?
In India, last week a man made a rough look at a girl.
This is very serious and government MUST do something about this.
@optimist: I think the incidents of rape have not increased, but people have become more bold, (sorry i cannot figure the right word here) in reporting these cases, otherwise rape used to silenced to protect so called honor or dignity or out of fear of further humiliation.
dis is just 1 part of torture .... pakistani females are subjected to daily rape ,harrasments, domestic violence and acid attack, karo kari..... worst of all........i'd say
@Dr. Saleem Siddiqi Yep, it is our fault if our children get molested. If I get caught in a suicide bombing it is my fault for going to the bazaar. The country is full of sharks, hyenas , and fanatics so we should stay in our homes and never venture outside.
I am hearing almost daily such news, what is happening are we living in a human society ?
Is Pakistan becoming the new Rape Capital of the WORLD ? Islamic Country , haaah !!
Please lets teach our children both girls n boys not to trust strangers .
I got goose bumps reading she was a grade 4 student:S why the kids???? aren't u causing enough damage to the women by raping them, disrespecting them... sometimes I wonder if we'll ever get a leader that would be strong and honest enough towards Pakistan like Quad--e-Azam...if yes, then when???
RIP sweetheart. You are at a better place. And they cant demand 4 witnesses from your parents now. Or so i hope.
Some Pakistanis claims there are no rapes in Pakistan.
We need public punishments of the severest kinds to create fear in favour of law, carried out after quick trials, otherwise we will read these news daily.
Dr. Saleem S
Why do such educated people like you jump to conclusion so easily. I'm sure the parents are impacted the most & taking the most blame on themselves. But fact is criminals are the ones to be blamed & brought to justice.
Would you blame yourself if you're robbed at gunpoint while you're walking in your alley outside your house? Obviously not you're not doing anything wrong & if you're then you should stop stepping outside your house.
Immediately stop sending your girls to school or outside home this is what our government wants.
Really terrible......No one will be able to understand the grief of the parents,....Thier lives will not be the same now!!! @Dr. Saleem Siddiqui, can you elaborate, the role of parents in this mishap?......do you guard your children personally 24/7?..........give suggestions to avoid such situations in future, dont blame!!!
These rapists should be castrated and then killed !!!!!!!!!!!
The only comments here that actually make any sense are the ones that condemn this heinous act and offer prayers for the family. Let us all hope and pray that the murderers are caught and brought to justice. I cannot even imagine what the family must be going through...
@Sami: the girl was raped in Karachi, earthquake happened in Balochistan and killed people that had nothing to do with this incident. What is the point of your twisted logic?!
This is going to happen until and unless we will enforce the Islamic punishments for these culprits!
It is very surprising. These things have always been there but I don't understand the surge and this sudden rise. . In India, there were attacks on women... then we saw same sudden increase. . Maybe news coverage emboldens criminals?
@Dr. Saleem Siddiqi: Don't think parents can be with their children 24x7. That would be just impossible.
@Dr.Saleem Siddiqui: Are you for real? You're blaming a rape and murder on the parents? This is whats wrong with the Pakistani society!
Is this the Naya Pakistan? Mr immy?
ya ALLAH madad
@Dr. Saleem Siddiqi: The report says that she was kidnapped from the school. Can't blame the parents.
still criminals are active in Karachi..during on going operation..FIR should be against sindh govt
This seems to be a family feud .. or atleast work of someone close to the family .. and I guess its not TTP.
The rapists have mothers, sisters, possibly even young girls as daughters. They should be the ones who should understand the pain they cause. They need to be handcuffed, brought to a court, tried immediately, and given a life sentence with no excuse for allowing them off into the streets for 'good behaviour' during their jail stay.
when will all this stop? nobody knows. may God help the poor family.
Parents should be more vigilant about their wards while they are in Schools or playing on the streets.
I would blame parents for such mishap. These are your own children and you must take care of .them.
