A local court in Karachi granted police a one-day physical remand of Sahir Hassan, son of renowned actor Sajid Hassan, in connection with the Mustafa Amir murder case.

Sahir was presented before a judicial magistrate at the Central Jail Judicial Complex, where police sought a five-day remand. However, the court approved only a one-day remand.

According to police, Sahir was arrested on drug possession charges, and investigators claim he had been supplying drugs in upscale areas for the past two years. Authorities also recovered narcotics worth Rs50 million from him.

The specialised investigation unit has registered a case against Sahir, alleging that he obtained drugs from suppliers named Bazil and Yahya before distributing them. His role in the Mustafa Amir murder case remains under investigation.

The court has advised law enforcement to present further evidence as the probe continues.

Authorities have obtained parcel records as part of the investigation.

Sahir, who has worked as a model and actor, was arrested on drug possession charges, with police recovering narcotics worth Rs50 million from him.

Investigators claim he had been involved in drug distribution for at least two years.

Moreover, according to the SIU police, Sahir Hasan disclosed that both Mustafa Amir, and his suspected murderer Armughan, used to buy drugs from him.

Investigators revealed that on January 2, Mustafa Amir acquired two grams of drugs from Sahir Hasan on credit. Later, on January 15, Armughan and Shiraz visited him and bought an ounce of drugs worth Rs350,000.

During investigation, Sahir revealed an extensive drug trafficking network. According to SIU officials, the suspect disclosed that the drugs originate from Colombia and are smuggled into Pakistan via California.

They arrive in Islamabad and Lahore through courier services. Two brothers, operating through the dark web, orchestrate these shipments and coordinate deliveries in Pakistan. One of their cousins facilitates the final distribution in Karachi.
