Check post targeted: Two FC officials injured in rocket attack
Rocket, fired by unidentified militants, landed near a check post in Jani Khel area of Frontier Region (FR) Bannu.
BANNU:
Two Frontier Constabulary (FC) officials were injured when a rocket fired by unidentified militants landed near a check post in Jani Khel area of Frontier Region (FR) Bannu on Wednesday. A security official said militants fired multiple rockets, adding one of these landed near the check post and injured two officials on duty. Security forces returned fire in the direction where the rockets were believed to be fired from, forcing the militants to flee, claimed the official. The injured personnel were shifted to Combined Military Hospital, Bannu where they are said to be in stable condition.
