Attempted homicide: Woman sent to jail

The woman was rescued by some passers-by who had seen her jump.

KASUR: A court on Tuesday sent a woman on judicial remand for attempting suicide along with her children, resulting in the death of two of them. Police said the woman, a widow, had jumped into the BS Link Canal with her four children on Monday. Two of them had survived.  Pattoki Saddar police said that the Rukanpura resident had taken her children aged 3-12 years, and jumped into a canal near Changa Manga. They said two of the children had run away. The woman was rescued by some passers-by who had seen her jump. Body of one of the children has been recovered.
