Federal Minister for Borders and Northern areas Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said Afghan refugees would voluntarily go back to their home country by 2015. He said the repatriation of Afghan refugees depended on the situation in Afghanistan. If the situation improved they would return to their country happily. “We have discussed the issue with the concerned Afghan minister and a strategy is being evolved so that the refugees could go to their country with dignity,” he added. Baloch said Pakistan is providing all facilities to Afghan refugees in their camps but no NGOs were providing relief to them. Over 30,0000 Afghan refugees have been living in Pakistan, he added.
