Training Jailers: Minister chalks out jail security plan

A new security plan is being chalked out for jails under which 5,000 jails personnel would be given commando training.

KARACHI: A new security plan is being chalked out for jails under which 5,000 jails personnel would be given commando trainings, announced prisons minister Manzoor Wassan. Addressing a press conference after presiding over a meeting at his office on Saturday, Wassan said that there were looming threats to different jails. “At least 281 suspects belonging to banned organisations and 78 target killers are languishing in 25 jails of Sindh,” he said. Four jails, including Karachi Central Prison, Juvenile Prison Landhi, Central Jail Hyderabad and Sukkur have been declared as the most dangerous jails in the province.
