There were 'two bottles of cologne' in my handcarry, explains Khawaja Asif
Asif was traveling from London to New York on an American Airlines flight.
LONDON:
Federal Minister for Water and Power Development Khawaja Asif tweeted that he was carrying 'two bottles of cologne' in his hand carry, to explain why he was stopped by authorities at London's Heathrow Airport on Saturday for allegedly carrying 'prohibited liquids' in his luggage.
Khawaja Asif was traveling from London to New York on an American Airlines flight AA-107.
Express News correspondent Naseem Siddiqui reported that the minister had received his boarding pass, but was stopped during subsequent screening.
Reports indicated that airport authorities put Asif and his luggage through another screening process and let him through after removing some alleged prohibited items from his luggage.
Later, however, the minister clarified on Twitter that he was carrying two bottles of cologne, and contrary to reports of confiscation, he was allowed to carry them.
