Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed provincial secretaries, commissioners, Board of Revenue members and district coordination officers to monitor the entrance tests, for admissions to medical and dental colleges, to be held on September 22.


A Health Department spokesperson on Friday said that the Punjab chief secretary has nominated officers to supervise the examination centres. Those nominated have been asked to be at their assigned centres at 8am and stay there till the test is over. They have also been told to ensure that the sealed boxes containing question papers and examination material are opened in front of them. They have also been told to monitor the distribution of test papers, invigilation at the examination and collection of answer sheets. The answer sheets will then be sealed in front of them as well.

The officers have been told to submit a report on the examination to the additional chief secretary. They will be in contact with the Health Secretary for coordination.

Services and General Administration (S&GAD) Enquiry Member Sheikh M Amin will monitor the exam scheduled at the ground floor of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lawrence Road. S&GAD Enquiry Member Shahid Ahmad Bhutta on the first floor; Enquiry-II Member Chaudhry Iqbal Ahmad on the second floor; S&GAD Member Enquiry Cap (retd) Atta M Khan on the third floor and Board of Revenue Member (MBR) Shomail Ahmad Khawaja on the fourth floor of the building.

MBR Munawar Ahmad Majoka will monitor the exam on the ground floor of the Examination Hall, Punjab University Wahdat Road. The exam held on the first floor will be monitored by MBR Sardar M Akram and MBR Waheed Akhtar Ansari on the second floor.

The examination centre at Govt Comprehensive Girls High School, Wahdat Road, will be monitored by DCO Nasim Sadiq. The Govt Pilot Secondary School, Wahdat Road, examination centre will be supervised by MBR Javed Nisar Syed. Examination centres at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad Block I and II will be monitored by Agriculture Secretary Ijaz Munir, exams held in Block III and IV will be supervised by Literacy and Non-Formal Education Secretary Pervaiz Ahmad Khan. The exam at Govt Degree College for Women, Madina Town Centre, will be monitored by the Faisalabad commissioner. The exam centre at Govt Postgraduate Degree College for Boys, Sahiwal, will be monitored by the Sahiwal commissioner.

Seven examination centres have been established at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. The examination centres on the ground and first floors of the Department of Electrical Engineering will be monitored by the Multan commissioner. Communication and Works Secretary Mian Mushtaq Ahmad will supervise the exam on the ground and first floors at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The examination on the ground and first floors of the Department of Civil Engineering will be conducted by Youth Affairs and Sports Secretary Muhammad Khan Khichi. The exam held at the Department of Building and Architectural Engineering will be monitored by Mines and Mineral Department Secretary Capt (retd) Saeed Ahmad Nawaz. The examination centre at the Department of Computer Engineering will be monitored by Provincial Transport Authority Secretary Shaukat Ali. The exam at the Department of Basic Sciences will be supervised by Zakat and Ushar Secretary Jahanzeb Khan. The examination centre in the Undergraduate Studies Building will be supervised by Population Welfare Department Secretary Altaf Ezid Khan.

The Bahawalpur commissioner will monitor the examination centre at the Faculty of Arts, Islamia University Bahawalpur. Colonies Member Mian Nazir Ahmad will supervise the exam centre at the university’s Faculty of Education and Extension. The Dera Ghazi Khan commissioner will supervise the exam centre at the Govt Postgraduate College for Boys, Dera Ghazi Khan. The Rahim Yar Khan district coordination officer will supervise the examination centre at Shaikh Zayed Public School. The Sargodha commissioner will monitor the exam held at the Business Administration Department of University of Sargodha.

Food Secretary Muhammad Aslam has been directed to monitor the examination centres in the Urdu Block, Ali Block, Jinnah Hall and Economic Department at the University of Sargodha.

Eight examination centres have been established at Siddique Public School, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. Home Special Secretary Capt (retd) Saif Anjum will monitor the exam centre at Wing-A of the school’s ground floor. Wing-A of the first floor will be monitored by the Rawalpindi DCO. Human Rights and Minority Affairs Secretary Javed Iqbal Chaudhry will monitor the exam at the Wing-B of the ground floor. Wing-B of the first floor will be supervised by Industries and Commerce Secretary Irfan Ali; Wing-C of the ground floor will be monitored by Information and Culture Secretary Momin Agha; Wing-C of the first floor will be supervised by Irrigation Secretary Capt (retd) Zahid Saeed; and Wing-D of the ground floor will be monitored by Livestock and Dairy Secretary Sajid Yousafani. Wing-D of the first floor will be monitored by Local Government and Community Development Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik. The Rawalpindi commissioner will monitor the examination centre at Govt Degree College for Boys Satellite Town Rawalpindi. Public Prosecution Secretary Nadeem Irshad Kayani will monitor the examination centre at Govt Postgraduate College for Women Satellite, Rawalpindi. Environment Protection Secretary Muhammad Anwar Rahsid will monitor the examination centre at Govt College for Women, Hazara Road, Hasanabdal. Judicial-VI Member Tariq Mehmood Khan will monitor the examination centre at the University of Gujrat. The Gujranwala commissioner will monitor the examination centre at Govt College for Boys Satellite Town, Gujranwala. Cooperatives Secretary Amir Ahmad will monitor the examination centre at Govt Comprehensive High School and Higher Education Department Special Secretary Sohail Shahzad will monitor the examination centre at the Govt Higher Secondary School, GT Road Gujranwala.
