Communication needs: NIT acquires hi-tech telephone exchange

The facility will soon be extended to Lahore and Islamabad with minor upgrading of the existing system.

KARACHI: In its drive to acquire simple yet state-of-the-art technology for the benefit of unit holders, the National Investment Trust (NIT) has installed the leading Avaya IP solution for its communication needs. According to a press release, this modern telephone system, besides giving multiple in-house communication services, will connect NIT branches in Karachi as an “extension” to the head office. This facility will soon be extended to Lahore and Islamabad with minor upgrading of the existing system. “It is yet another leap forward by NIT in providing better and effective communication services to its unit holders,” NIT said.

Avaya communications are not latest,

NIT should have gone for the latest MTEL telephone systems, these Avaya systems will soon be creating problems for NIT.
