Pakistan Premier Football League: Lyallpur FC hold Army to 0-0 draw
Coach Mehmood wants team to become clinical in front of goal.
KARACHI:
Debutants Lyallpur FC held Army to a 0-0 draw in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) at the Railways Stadium in Lahore yesterday.
Army coach Shafqat Mehmood had earlier stated that although his team had been playing well so far, they needed to improve on netting more goals.
Despite the result, Army still sit in fourth position with eight points after playing four matches, while the draw was more significant for Lyallpur FC, who collected their first point of the season after facing defeats in their opening three matches.
Meanwhile, four-time champions Wapda will face PAF in Lahore today.
Both teams have played five matches each. Wapda coach Khalid Butt said that they aim to win and continue their unbeaten run. So far, they have won two matches and drawn three.
In the other fixture today, KESC, who drew their last match, will play KPT in Karachi.
