It seems that PETA is watching everyone who gets too close to wildlife!
The singer replied with a letter from the American Humane Association, explaining how their representatives were present all three days of the shoot.
Representatives at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are protesting the content of singer Katy Perry’s latest music video Roar. The music video features the use of exotic animals, including a monkey, an elephant and a tiger, according to E! Online.
“Animals used for entertainment in film and television endure horrific cruelty and suffer from extreme confinement and violent training methods,” PETA wrote in a letter the clip’s co-directors. Katy Perry, a prominent animal lover, was quick to release a response, according to Billboard.

The letter reads: “American Humane Association was on set for the filming of the above referenced music video, which used an elephant, a monkey, birds and a tiger. After reviewing the reports, we believe that the Guidelines for the Safe Use of Animals in Filmed Media were followed and that no animal was harmed in the making of this music video.”
