Trade opportunities: New Zealand, Pakistan reinforce ties
Pakistani businessmen have great scope to promote export of their agro and food products to New Zealand, says envoy.
ISLAMABAD:
A nine member delegation of local businessmen visited New Zealand on Tuesday to explore business opportunities and promote bilateral trade between the two countries. The delegation was led by Chairman Founder Group of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and its former President, Sheikh Tariq Sadiq. The Pakistani High Commissioner to New Zealand, Zehra H. Akbari was called upon to discuss vital trade opportunities. Zehra said Pakistani businessmen have great scope to promote export of their agro and food products to New Zealand. She emphasised on strengthening the economic relations between the two countries. Sheikh discussed the opportunities for exporting Pakistani food products, textiles, apparel, carpets and software products to New Zealand. He said New Zealand have cooperated with Pakistan in the development of its dairy industry and its expertise in agriculture, food processing, dairy, animal health and post-harvesting techniques.
