Appointment: SZABIST capital campus gets new head

Dr Rashida Khatoon Malik has been appointed as new head of SZABIST Islamabad campus.

Dr Rashida Khatoon Malik on Monday was appointed the new head of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology’s (SZABIST) Islamabad campus.


Dr Malik holds a PhD in Leadership in Education and Management from the University of Western Michigan, US. She has previously served as an  Associate Professor at Bahria University, Islamabad, where she was also the director of Academic Affairs.


From 2006 to 2009, she was also an assistant professor at SZABIST.

She has replaced Asad Hussain, who has moved to Canada to fulfill his professional endeavours.

Dr Malik has vast experience in teaching, research and academic development in a career spanning years. She has research interests in Gender Equity, Leadership and Citizenship Education.
