LHC takes notice of teenager gang-raped by landlord's son
Mother tied with a rope, while suspects gang-raped her daughter.

The Lahore High Court on Tuesday took notice of the alleged gang rape of a 16 year old girl in Gujranwala.
A section of the press reported the incident which caught the court's attention. The Nation reported that the son of an influential landlord was involved in the case.
The complaint cell of the LHC directed the District and Sessions Judge Gujranwala to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.
According to reports, a woman, resident of village Noshera Virkan was going to work in the fields with her young daughter. The primary suspect, Khalil, son of influential landlord Kashmira, stopped them with his accomplices and forcibly took them to his house.
The woman alleged that the accused tied her with a rope, gang-raped her daughter and fled when she fell unconscious.
The mother also claimed that she took her daughter to the police station but no complaint was lodged, nor was the victim able to get a medical examination.
CPO Gujranwala suspended the negligent officials present and ordered that a case be registered against the accused.
