‘Natural causes’: American engineer found dead
Police denied any criminal intent behind the death.
ISLAMABAD:
A US citizen was found dead at his home in Sector E-7 on Monday morning, the police said. The man, identified as Darren Richard, worked as an engineer for a construction company, according to police. The man died of “natural causes,” a police officer at the Kohsar Police station said. The officer said the police were alerted to the death by the man’s maid, who found him dead when she got to work in the morning. The dead body was sent to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). Police denied any criminal intent behind the death, but doctors at PIMS said they were waiting for the police to allow them to examine the body. The body has been placed in the mortuary for now, doctors said. The police said Richard is survived by his wife and a son, who lived with him in Islamabad but are currently in the US.
