‘Eliminate Lead In Paint’: WHO and UNEP spread awareness
Campaign week will be observed from October 20 to October 26.
KARACHI:
The International Lead Poisoning Prevention Awareness Campaign Week, based on the theme ‘Eliminate lead in paint’, will be observed from October 20 to October 26. During the campaign, the World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will encourage and facilitate efforts globally to eliminate lead paint and will raise awareness about lead poisoning, highlight countries and partners’ efforts to prevent childhood lead poisoning and will take further action to eliminate lead paint.
