ISLAMABAD:
The UN International Day of Democracy will be observed on September 15 to raise public awareness about democracy. Various activities and events are held around the world to promote democracy. The subject of this year’s theme “Strengthening Voices for Democracy” aims to spotlight the importance of people’s voices, both expressed directly and through their elected representatives, in today’s political, economic, social, developmental, environmental and technological debates.
