KARACHI:
Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) Secretary Masood Ahmed disclosed that the International Judo Federation (IJF) wants to hold a peace seminar in Pakistan next year, following the country’s participation in the Senior World Judo Championship this month.
He added that although Shah Hussain Shah was unable to progress further than the second round, the IJF officials have appreciated the potential of the players in Pakistan.
“The IJF has expressed its interest to hold a peace seminar here next year,” Ahmed told The Express Tribune. “Although our players are far behind in terms of competition, I believe that with time and effort Pakistan will be present in the 2016 Olympics.”
