Notorious land-grabber captured, police claim

The police claimed to have arrested a notorious land grabber and recovered weapons and narcotics from his possession, in Gadep Town on Friday.
The accused, Ali Hasan Barohi, was arrested while he was on his way to Gulshan-e-Maymar on Friday night.
Gulshan-e-Maymar police SHO Amanullah confirmed the arrest, saying that Barohi was wanted by the police of Gaddap Town as well as Sohrab Goth and Sarjani in various cases of land grabbing.
The SHO said that an FIR No 245/10, 246/10 under arm ordinance and narcotics was registered against him as a TT pistol and three kilogrammes of hashish were recovered from his possession.
According to unconfirmed reports, the accused is a close aide of Hakim Ali Zardari. However, the SHO neither confirmed nor denied this, saying that the police were investigating his political affiliation.
