Reservations: Robbery accused harms himself
Shehzad said the police had tortured him and not let his mother visit him.

A man accused of robbery allegedly injured himself by hitting himself in the face with his handcuffs after he was handed back in police custody for three days. Arshad alias Khurram Shehzad, a resident of Jalalpur Jattan, was arrested last week on charges of stealing a laptop. He was presented before a court on Wednesday. When the judge handed him over to the police on a further three-day remand, he started shouting and refused to go. He said the police had tortured him and not let his mother visit him. He said he was afraid that the police would torture him again. Some policemen escorting him took him back to the police station.
