KARACHI:
Pakistan’s first and largest enterprise cloud service provider RapidCompute has announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001 security certification for providing cloud services.

In this regard, an audit was carried out by SGS SSC, a global leader in the systems and certification market, says a press release.

The ISO 27001 standard is awarded to organisations which can demonstrate that necessary controls and measures are in place to address data confidentiality, integrity and availability.

Commenting on the achievement, RapidCompute’s Chief Executive Officer Danish A Lakhani said, “At RapidCompute, one of our key priorities is the security of our customer’s information and business continuity. To ensure that our security standards are at par with international best practices, the ISO/IEC 27001 certification was crucial.”

RapidCompute is a registered member of the Cloud Security Alliance’s Security, Trust and Assurance Registry (STAR).

Lakhani added: “Data security has emerged as one of the biggest concerns among customers and government organisations while moving critical infrastructure to cloud providers. With ISO 27001 and the voluntary CSA STAR disclosure, RapidCompute ensures that its customers are safe in the knowledge that their services are hosted with a secure and trusted cloud operator.”

RapidCompute is a division of Cyber Internet Services (Private) Limited.
