KARACHI:
KESC registered their second win in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL), defeating KPT 3-2 at the KPT Stadium in Karachi yesterday.

Both teams played a goalless first-half, until KPT striker Muhammad scored the opening goal of the match in the 50th minute. However, KESC dominated the match just two minutes later, when their striker Abdul Rehman scored back-to-back goals. He struck the equaliser through a header in the 74th minute and took the lead in the next on a Muhammad Rasool pass.

Meanwhile, Rasool sealed victory for his side in the 82nd minute, while KPT’s Muhammad scored his second goal in the third minute of the injury time.

“My team played well, and winning the match after conceding a goal only shows our strength,” KESC coach Akbar Ali told The Express Tribune. “But we need to work on our finishing. We missed too many chances in the first-half.”
