Botched Eid-Day attack: Five accused indicted
Court extended their remand for another two weeks and adjourned the matter till September 23.

The prosecution on Friday submitted an interim charge sheet in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) against five suspects allegedly involved in the failed suicide bombing attempt on a mosque in Bhara Kahu. The five accused — Hidayatullah, Muhammad Saddam, Muhammad Wali, Mahwish Amjad and Y*, a 14-year-old boy — were produced before the trial court on Friday which extended their remand for another two weeks and adjourned the matter till September 23. According to the interim charge sheet, which contains the statements of 26 witnesses including police officers, all five accused facilitated the suicide bomber, who failed to detonate his vest and died during an exchange of fire with a mosque security guard.
