Defence Day: Swat scouts pay homage to martyrs

Swat Scouts observed Defence Day of Pakistan with zeal and remembered martyrs who sacrificed their lives fighting the 1965 war.



In order to commemorate September 6, Swat Scouts Open Group (SSOG) in Mingora organised an event chaired by MPA Fazal Hakeem Khan. National Scout Council member Amir Naushad, District Scout Secretary Pardul Khan along with senior scouts, social activists, civil society members and students attended the ceremony.


“Pakistan Army and the entire nation stood united to resist the enemy’s aggression in the 1965 war and their sacrifice will never be forgotten,” said Hakeem.


The scouts performed skits and sang national songs. SSOG group leader Akhtar Ali Khan stressed on the need for unity and asked the youth to remember their heroes on the occasion.
