The Sindh police department has decided to massively reshuffle positions and in its first phase, seven Station House Officers (SHOs) were transferred and posted, according to a notification issued late Wednesday night.


According to details, Arif Razzak was posted to Hyderi police station, Sohail Ahmed was transferred to the Docks police station, Humayun Khan to Jamshed Quarters police station, Sajjadul Hassan to Liaquatabad, Azam Khan was posted to Kharadar police station, Raja Tanvir to Gizri police station and Ghulam Hussain was transferred to Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Police officials said that city police chief Ghulam Qadir Thebo, zonal DIGs and divisional SSPs, SPs and DSPs are likely to be transferred soon.


Governor House policeman killed

A police sub-inspector deployed at the Sindh Governor House was gunned down by armed men at Sector 10 in Orangi Town late Wednesday night. Mohammad Arif Akram was on his way home when the men on a motorcycle shot and killed him.

Police station attacked

Unidentified armed assailants attacked the Pirabad police station. No casualty was reported. At least two armed men on a motorcycle threw a tennis ball with explosive material at the police station and escaped. Windowpanes were shattered. The explosive material weighted around 200 grammes of explosives.
