The victims of acid crime were given a unique opportunity to express their feelings by drawing and painting their feelings.
Depilex Smileagain Foundation (DSF) arranged a two-day psychosocial support workshop for the acid and kerosene oil burn survivors. The workshop - organised in collaboration with MyPlace, which is a consultancy firm with expertise in behavioural sciences - was designed to provide the participants with recreational tools of expression. The participants expressed their feelings by drawing and painting to convey their feelings, thoughts and emotions through spraying up some colours on canvas. “Our purpose was to help the survivors express themselves and gain confidence while doing so,” she said. The paintings drawn by the participants will be exhibited for sale in December this year.
