August report: Rs43m gas, electricity theft detected
Theft of gas and electricity can not be control without the support of citizens, says DCO.

The district administration has detected gas and electricity theft of Rs43 million during a crackdown against pilferers, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Iftikhar Ali Sahu said on Tuesday. He was presiding over a meeting of the district taskforce formed for the purpose. The DCO said the campaign would be intensified on the orders of the chief minister. He said theft of gas and electricity could not be controlled without the support of citizens. He requested people to report gas and electricity theft at: 052-9250456. He said names of informers would be kept confidential. He said police had arrested 58 pilferers in 72 cases.
