Senior police officials asked to declare assets
The provincial police accountability commission formed by the central police office (CPO) has requested all senior officials, including SHOs, to submit details of their assets.
In a handout issued on Monday, senior officials over grade-17 have been asked to submit the details of their assets to the commission within 15 days. Officials should provide all property details, otherwise strict action will be taken, stated the handout.
In the statement, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ihsan Ghani reiterated his resolve to rid the department of corrupt officials at any cost. He said they will go to all extents to improve the image of the police department and restore peoples’ confidence.
Corrupt officials will be taken to task and the department will promote meritocracy on the directives of the chief minister, he added.
