Even though Sebastian Vettel is confident the Red Bull has what it takes to win the Italian Grand Prix, he concedes it is ‘difficult to say’ how the actual race will go, according to Planet-F1.

The current world champion has won twice at Monza, first in 2008 and the second three years later. Vettel claimed his first pole position in Italy with Toro Rosso in 2008, and followed that up a day later with his maiden grand prix win. Then in 2011, he was back on the podium, having taken his second Italian Grand Prix, this time with Red Bull Racing.

Asked whether he can add a third to his tally this weekend, the 26-year-old was unwilling to make any predictions.

“It’s very difficult to predict,” said Vettel. “How it turns out to be this year is hard to say. I think we can be quite confident though. We had a good race in Canada and we had a very good race at Spa.”

Ferrari have faith in me: Massa

Felipe Mass believes that Ferrari still have faith in him, as he faces uncertainties over his future in Formula One once again, according to ESPNF1.

His contract with Ferrari is set to expire at the end of the season, and after another lacklustre performance this year there is much speculation he will be replaced in 2014. Rumours have linked Kimi Raikkonen to a return, but the team said that no decision has yet been made.

Meanwhile, Massa says the rumours about his future are nothing new. “I’m used to this situation,” he said. “The rumours mean nothing, all that matters is the faith the team has in me and I feel that very strongly.

“I know I must have a better second-half of the season, after a first one where unfortunately, the results were lacking in some races, but the performance has always been up there. I think I still have a very strong chance of staying with Ferrari.”

After Fernando Alonso came second on the podium in Belgium, Massa is confident that Ferrari have made progress. “We hope the updates we will have can help us make a further step forward, not just in Monza, but also for the rest of the season.”
