A walk was organised by the National Highway and Motorway Police Attock region on Saturday to mark the World Road Safety Day.


The walk, led by North-One Region SSP Hassan Abbas and other police officials, saw participation from a large number of students, citizens and Motorway police personnel.

SSP Abbas said on the occasion that by following road safety rules on the Motorway, commuters will not only enjoy a pleasant journey but also give a sense of surety to others who use it.

He said that civilised nations always follow rules and regulations. He said that motorists and commuters could solicit information about road safety rules from the Motorway Police, helpline and from the police website.

Deputy superintendents of police Sultan Ali Khan, Malik Iqbal and Asad Mehmud, PRO Umer Shoaib Ijaz, and Admin Officer Sardar Farooq also apprised the public about road safety rules.
