Unfortunate accident: Shepherd injured in landmine explosion
Residents who heard the sound of the explosion rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Agency HQ Hospital.

A teenage shepherd was severely injured when he stepped on a landmine planted in Pewar area of Kurram Agency on Saturday. A political administration official said Iqbal Hussain Tori was grazing his sheep and goats in the mountainous area of Pewar when he stepped on a landmine in Tewza. Residents who heard the sound of the explosion rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Agency Headquarters Hospital, Parachinar where doctors amputated his leg and referred him to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar due to his critical condition.
