Transport development: Monitoring room set up to track buses
Bus Monitoring Room will track buses on allocated routes.

The Lahore Transport Company (LTC) opened a monitoring room on Thursday to keep a track of buses. “The company is playing an important role in facilitating the travelling public by providing them state-of-the-art transport facilities,” said Khawaja Ahmed Hassaan, the company’s chairman. He said the Bus Monitoring Room will track buses on allocated routes and will ensure transparency in disbursing of operational subsidy. Hassaan said recent investment in the transport sector had transformed the transport culture. He said free transport cards initiative for senior citizens and the disabled had been well-received.
