SUKKUR:

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday reserved its verdict about confirmation of interim bail regarding Khalid Lund and Shaheryar Shar of Ghotki, who were booked on the charges of attacking the civil court in Ubauro on May 12.

Lund had contested elections at NA-200 against PPP’s Sardar Ali Gohar Mahar and had lost, while Shar had lost elections at PS-5 Ubauro against PPP’s Jam Mehtab Dahar. On May 12, both of them along with hundreds of their supporters had staged a sit-in outside the civil court and, according to the police, their supporters attacked and ransacked the court on their instigation.

A case under the Anti-Terrorism Act was registered against them at Ubauro police station but both the men were granted interim bail which was extended till August 28.

On Wednesday, both of them appeared before the ATC through their lawyer Shabbir Shar for the confirmation of their interim bail before arrest.
