Lawyers’ Killings: Govt given last chance

KARACHI:
The Sindh High Court (SHC), on Tuesday, gave a last chance to the Sindh government to file comments and explain why the killers of lawyers have not been arrested yet.
SHC Bar Association had gone to court complaining that the accused in targeted killings of 40 practicising lawyers of Karachi have not been arrested.
On Tuesday, a provincial law officer once again requested the judges to grant more time to file comments on behalf of the provincial government.
Giving a last chance, Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbas, head of the bench, allowed time till September 20.
