Flash floods: Two sisters drown in stream
Sumaya committed suicide after a dispute with her family over a domestic issue, says police.

Two sisters were swept away by flash floods in Khurshidabad Havayli, some 108 kilometres from here. According to reports, Saba Rafiq, 12, and Farah Rafiq, 7, were crossing a stream, which was in high flood after the recent torrential rains, when they were washed away by the current. Later, the locals recovered the bodies. The victims were buried at a graveyard. In another incident, a young girl committed suicide after hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in the Kankani Bagha area in Kotli. According to the police, 18-year-old Sumaya committed suicide after a dispute with her family over a domestic issue. The police registered a case and started investigation.
