ISLAMABAD: Delegates from Pakistan and Afghanistan expressed a firm resolve to bring peace and prosperity in the region through increased interaction between the women of both countries, according to a press release. The people of the two neighbouring countries share a long history of suffering due to conflicts and violence and this is the right time to join hands for sustainable peace and promotion of economic activities in the region. This was the consensus that emerged during a meeting of a delegation of Pak-Afghan Women’s Forum for Peace and Democracy (PAWFPD) with members of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus.
