Food And Entertainment: Shangla Festival begins today
The inauguration ceremony will be conducted by MPA Haji Abdul Munim.
SHANGLA:
All arrangements including security measures for the first ever Shangla Festival have been completed and the event will start today (Saturday) at Degree College Alpuri. The two-day festival is organised by Shangla Youth Front with the cooperation of the government and will include travel guides, a kids’ corner, live music, food street, traditional games, art and craft stalls, magic show and other entertainment. The inauguration ceremony will be conducted by MPA Haji Abdul Munim. Shangla Youth Front Executive Director Tariq Rauf said the festival will begin at 10am amid foolproof security in the area. He added they are expecting a large number of tourists and visitors from across the country to participate in the event. Rauf said the tehsil municipal administration and army lent a helping hand at each and every stage of preparation. He added the deputy commissioner of Shangla and his district machinery also supervised arrangements to provide all possible facilities to guests, tourists and visitors.
