Imran Khan contempt case: 3 member bench formed to hear case
The bench will hear the case on August 28.
ISLAMABAD:
Supreme Court of Pakistan has constituted a new three member bench to hear the contempt of court case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.
According to the sources, the bench will be headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, other two members include Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Khilji Arif. The bench will hear the case on August 28.
Earlier, a three member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry – was hearing a contempt of court notice against Imran. The two other judges on the bench were Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed.
Supreme Court had issued a contempt of court notice on July 31, to PTI Chairman for his remarks against the court in his July 26 press conference.
