Suspect arrested for raping mentally-challenged blind woman
Victim was kidnapped allegedly by a landlord while she was on her way to a nearby shop with a cousin.

A suspect rapist was arrested on Thursday for raping a physically and mentally disabled woman.
She was found lying in a field in bad condition, police said. They said the suspect was arrested on statement of a man who claimed to be a witness.
Police said Rizwana*, 23, daughter of the daily wager in 109/12-L in Chichawatni, was blind and mentally challenged.
She was kidnapped allegedly by a landlord while she was on her way to a nearby shop with a cousin.
Her father said a few minutes later her cousin returned home saying she had lost sight of Rizwana. He said he looked for her, but to no avail. A few hours later, he said, some neighbours informed him that his daughter was found lying unconscious in a field.
She was taken to THQ hospital, where she was later reported to be out of danger. Doctors said her medico-legal examination confirmed rape. Saddar police have arrested a suspect.
