PESHAWAR:
Family members of missing persons organised a protest outside the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday.
Holding portraits of their beloved and placards flashing slogans in support of their demand, the crowd gathered outside the PHC against the government’s failure to recover the missing persons.
Speaking to journalists, Daulat Khan said his brother Hafiz Muhammad Tariq has been missing from Par Hoti village, Mardan since December 20, 2012. Khan alleged SHO Par Hoti Police Station Nihar Ali and Assistant Sub-Inspector Nasrullah had taken Tariq forcefully from his residence that day.
He also alleged that despite repeated protests and requests, concerned authorities did not respond and continued to deny their involvement in his brother’s kidnapping.
In his demands, Khan asked the PHC chief justice and the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan to play their due role in the recovery of his brother.
