LG Law: Sindh govt to consider MQM proposals
The provincial government would welcome the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) if it came up with better proposals.

Sindh information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the provincial government would welcome the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) if it came up with better proposals to amend the new local government law, 2013. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Memon said that, “The government may incorporate their proposals by making amendments to the bill passed by the provincial assembly on Monday.” He added that the ministerial committee for local government law, constituted by the chief minister, had held meetings with the leaders of MQM and also handed over a draft of the bill to them for consideration. Memon said that the committee will remain in touch with the MQM for their proposals, if any.
