‘Hajj arrangements to be made foolproof’

Hajj Director stressed the need to complete renovation of pilgrim camps as soon as possible.

“Foolproof arrangements are being made to help those intending to make the Hajj pilgrimage,” Hajj Director Saeed Ahmad Malik said on Tuesday.


He was speaking during his visit to Faisalabad where he called on District Coordination Officer Akram Bhatti and the Hajj Committee members.

He urged the officials of the district government as well as the provincial and federal governments to perform their duties with zeal.

The Hajj director said negligence would not be tolerated. He said that his ministry was taking all possible measures to ensure that the pilgrims were well looked after.

He stressed the need to complete renovation of pilgrim camps as soon as possible.

Representatives of banks, officials of Federal Investigation Authority, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited (PTCL), traffic police and Special Branch presemted their also gave their reports on the arrangements.

Malik said a traffic plan for the training programmes for intending pilgrims was needed.

He also asked for an uninterrupted power supply at the camps through stand-by generators.
