Busted: Bid to smuggle heroin foiled
The suspect confessed to having 100 heroin-filled capsules in his stomach.
ISLAMABAD:
The authorities at the Benazir International Airport arrested a man with drug-filled capsules in his stomach.
According to reports, the smuggler, identified as Jamal Khan, a resident of Khyber Agency, was planning to board a Jeddah-bound PIA flight, when he was intercepted by security officials in the departure lounge.
The suspect confessed to having 100 heroin-filled capsules in his stomach. He was shifted to a hospital to remove the capsules.
A case has also been lodged and further investigation is under way.
