Ambushed while travelling: Varsity dean’s son kidnapped
The son of a faculty head of the Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences was kidnapped on Saturday.

The son of a faculty head of the Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences was kidnapped from Benazirabad on Saturday. Dr Shamsuddin Shaikh, Dean Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences, was returning from Hyderabad when his car was intercepted near Quaid-i-Awam University. The kidnappers took away his 12-year-old son, Shujauddin Shaikh. The dean told the police that he was chased by a car from Sakrand taluka of Benazirabad but was not able to identify the abductors. In protest against the incident, the doctors boycotted the hospital’s OPD while the students boycotted classes.
